Second Ward (Salt Lake): Chapel Interior

July 2022: I originally posted photos of the Salt Lake Second Ward in 2015, but am now updating this post with more recent pictures.

This chapel is one of my favorites to visit. The large corner tower entrance comes into the back of the chapel. At the front of the chapel is a large painting by Dan Weggeland, a reproduction of Da Vinci's The Last Supper.

Stained glass windows on the sides let in lots of colorful light.

Near the front, on the right side, is a small cry room.

The rest of the building is a patchwork of additions and remodels that can be confusing to navigate. There is one grand staircase that leads to the rest of the building, and in this area is a large mural of the Hill Cumorah painted by C.L. Waterlyn in 1940.

At the back of the chapel is this stunning stained glass of the First Vision. See my other post for more more detailed pictures of it.
